OLATHE, KS. – May 14, 2025– Local favorite WingStand is celebrating the opening of a second location, this one in Olathe, at its grand opening event on Saturday, May 17.
This location at 119 South Mur-Len Road will operate alongside WingStand’s flagship location in Mission.
The owner/operator of WingStand Olathe, Joe Finch, was previously General Manager of WingStand’s food truck and off-site catering services. A Kansas City local, Finch has experience in all areas of the food industry, beginning as a server, busser, host, and bartender, before working his way up to management—and now ownership.
“WingStand is first and foremost a neighborhood place,” said Joe Finch. “We’re really excited to connect with our new community in Olathe, and we couldn’t think of a better way than by sharing our favorite food: wings.”
WingStand is owned by Lawrence-based Jefferson’s Restaurants, and is known for its fresh-never-frozen wings tossed in one of its 20 signature sauces. The restaurant offers something for every wing lover, including boneless, bone-in, crispy, traditional, and even a soy-based veggie wing. WingStand also serves Certified Angus Beef smashburgers and hand-breaded chicken sandwiches and tenders.
